Climbing for a Cause

On 10th April, members of RC Coaching, alongside some Hearts Together staff, took on the Snowdon challenge, an absolutely epic fundraising climb to the summit of Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, standing at an impressive 1,085 metres (3,560 feet) above sea level.

The weekend chosen for the challenge was a far cry from the sunshine we’ve all been enjoying lately. The team faced sleet, snow, freezing temperatures, and winds reaching up to 75mph. Despite the harsh conditions, their determination never wavered, and they powered through with their fabulous Hearts Together tops glowing red proudly at the summit. ❤️

The climb raised an incredible £577.57 to support Hearts Together and the families who rely on us during difficult times.

Our Vision

The generosity of fundraisers and charity supporters enables us to provide thousands of patients, carers & relatives with a home away from home and invaluable support, when they or a loved one are receiving medical care or treatment
Are you a healthcare professional or trainee?

Hospital hotel accommodation for healthcare professionals and trainees in close proximity to University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (Derriford Hospital), The Nuffield Hospital and the Hyperbaric Treatment Centre (DDRC)
Our plans to expand

Our big build project sees Hearts Together set to expand from 26 bedrooms to 73 over two build phases, an ambitious but very necessary challenge that we intend to meet head on, as we look to accommodate the ever-growing needs of patients, carers, relatives, our local community, healthcare professionals and trainees.

This service has already shown to be absolutely invaluable, helping to reduce the stress and cost of transport, meaning that our guests can stay focused on supporting their loved ones or getting better themselves.

Pay it forward

If you have been helped by our charity and would like to help others like you, why not make a donation or fundraise for our pay it forward campaign. We use the money raised through this appeal to provide financial support to individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford to stay at our Hospital Guest Accommodation. Your support makes a huge difference to people's lives.
