Hearts Together

Hearts Together provides accommodation and support services in the form of Hearts Together Hospital Hotel in Plymouth, Located just a 10-minute walk away from Derriford Hospital, for patients, parents, carers, and relatives when receiving medical treatment or visiting a loved one or baby in the hospital. We offer a range of additional practical, financial, and emotional support services to help those dealing with complex challenges such as end-of-life care and emergency or life-changing illnesses. Our aim is to help alleviate the burdens that arise from staying away from home so that our guests can focus their energy on getting better themselves or caring for their loved ones.

Hearts Together and Hearts Together Hospital Hotel were originally named HeartSWell South West, and HeartSWell Lodge CIC ('The Lodge'), however, in July 2019, HeartSWell merged with HeartSWell Lodge CIC in to form Hearts Together CIO.

Three Peaks Fundraiser

Last year we lost our loving and dear friend Oliver suddenly. In his name we are trying to raise some money to support a charity that, when it was needed the most, were there for his family. With Oli's love of the outdoors, this June we are going to tackle the highest peaks from Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours for the Hearts Together charity.

Our Vision

The generosity of fundraisers and charity supporters enables us to provide thousands of patients, carers & relatives with a home away from home and invaluable support, when they or a loved one are receiving medical care or treatment
Our plans to expand

Our big build project sees Hearts Together set to expand from 26 bedrooms to 73 over two build phases, an ambitious but very necessary challenge that we intend to meet head on, as we look to accommodate the ever-growing needs of patients, carers, relatives, our local community, healthcare professionals and trainees.
Built before, building again!

he thought of creating a Hospital Hotel which would support patients receiving treatment at Derriford was the dream Monica Pearce first suggested back in 1993, following her successful campaign for the Cardiac unit to be brought to Derriford in 1994.
Student Volunteer Counsellors

We are looking for student counsellors to join our team alongside our qualified counsellors to help us to provide an informal counselling support service for our guests staying at Hearts Together Hospital Hotel. This service is so important in enabling us to provide much-needed support to those who are often preoccupied with supporting others, or who are dealing with complex or life-changing issues themselves.
