Hearts Together is often described as a 'hidden gem' and for those of us who work/volunteer here, it is a privilege to be a part of such an incredible team. Having been in existence in its various guises for over 20 years, the charity continues to provide accommodation and support for patients, carers and relatives when they need it most. Our accommodation is also open to healthcare professionals and trainees from out of the area, who provide essential support to our healthcare services.

The charity is now at a very exciting stage of its journey, whereby we have been granted planning permission to expand our accommodation and support services considerably and the challenge we face now is the raising of the funds to make this happen. The total project will cost around £10M so there is plenty to do and we need a strong and capable board to support this work, whilst continuing to ensure we enhance and improve our day-to-day offer for our guests.

At this point in time, we are looking for individuals with some knowledge or experience in finance and/or fundraising, particularly from a governance perspective i.e. knowledge of the charity SORPs and fundraising code of practice respectively. However, if you feel you have something unique that you could bring to the team which would add value to the work we are doing, we would love to hear from you too.
