With the current cost of living crisis, travelling for up to or over 3 hours and then finding affordable accommodation can place a huge financial burden on people. In some cases, this can mean treatment has to be delayed simply due to the costs and affordability. I found that having access to a wonderful, quiet, calm, and relaxing facility like Hearts Together, where people understand and can support your recovery in a safe space, is invaluable. Without the support of Hearts Together, many people would have to weigh up the cost of living versus their health and well-being. I only wish there were more facilities like Hearts Together across the country." To put this donation into context, this could help... Provide 7 nights of accommodation for a family who may not be able to afford to stay, or who may be supporting a loved one through end of life in one of our family rooms. Or it could provide 16 counselling sessions for a guest, helping them through a complex life changing injury or supporting them while they come to terms with a loved ones illness. Or it could provide four new tyres for our shuttle vehicle, which is a real lifeline for guests - in 2023 we saved guests over £4000 in taxi fares by proving our shuttle!
