What are Compassionate Cafés ?

Compassionate Cafés were established across Plymouth by St Luke’s as part of their mission to make Plymouth a more Compassionate City. These community-led support groups offer a safe space for individuals experiencing loss, grief, or coping with a life-limiting illness.

The Hearts Together team is proud to have completed St Luke’s Compassionate Friends training, allowing us to create a supportive space in the north of the city.

Join us at Hearts Together Hospital Hotel for a cup of tea or coffee, share your experiences, or simply find comfort in the presence of others.

Where : Hearts Together Hospital Hotel, 7 Blunts Lane, Derriford, Plymouth, PL6 8BE.
When : 2:00pm - 4:00pm every Wednesday.

Our plans to expand

Our big build project sees Hearts Together set to expand from 26 bedrooms to 73 over two build phases, an ambitious but very necessary challenge that we intend to meet head on, as we look to accommodate the ever-growing needs of patients, carers, relatives, our local community, healthcare professionals and trainees.

This service has already shown to be absolutely invaluable, helping to reduce the stress and cost of transport, meaning that our guests can stay focused on supporting their loved ones or getting better themselves.

Pay it forward

If you have been helped by our charity and would like to help others like you, why not make a donation or fundraise for our pay it forward campaign. We use the money raised through this appeal to provide financial support to individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford to stay at our Hospital Guest Accommodation. Your support makes a huge difference to people's lives.
