Young Volunteers Making A Difference Every year, we’re so lucky to welcome a number of amazing young volunteers to Hearts Together Hospital Hotel. Whether they join us through their clubs, the Duke of Edinburgh Award, or as part of their work experience, they make a real difference to our team and the families we care for. Each young volunteer brings their own unique skills and personality, but what really shines through is their enthusiasm and energy. It’s truly great to see how much they grow in their time with us. From the start, they throw themselves into the work, quickly picking up new tasks and growing in confidence. Many come in feeling a little unsure, but by the time they leave, they’ve gained so much more than just practical experience—they’ve learned how to communicate, work in a team, and show empathy to others. It’s these moments of growth that make it such a rewarding experience for everyone involved. During the busy summer months, their help is especially important. The extra support they provide eases the pressure on our team, allowing us to better care for the families and individuals who stay with us. Their contributions aren’t just appreciated—they’re truly essential.
