Help families stay close to loved ones in hospital this Christmas

While many of us will wake up at home on Christmas morning, some families will spend the festive season supporting loved ones in hospital.

At Hearts Together, we provide a warm, welcoming place to stay just moments from hospital, so that families can be together when it matters most. This Christmas, we are asking for your help to make that possible for even more families in the future.

When baby Hayden arrived early, Lisa’s family faced an uncertain Christmas - but thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we could give Hayden’s mum, dad and big sister a Christmas away from home, together.

Together at Christmas

Not everyone will be home for Christmas, but thanks to your donations, families can still be together. Over the festive season, while many families gather at home, countless people will be staying near loved ones in hospital. This campaign invites supporters to give meaningful donations that help guests at Hearts Together have a warm, welcoming, and caring Christmas experience. Funds raised through this campaign may be used to support any aspect of Hearts Together’s charitable work.

25 Years of Hearts Together!

We celebrated Hearts Together’s 25th anniversary this month with a party at our Hospital Hotel, highlighted by fundraiser Ricky Callow completing a 37-mile challenge. The day honoured our founder, Monica Pearce, celebrated the support we provide to families facing medical treatment, and marked the launch of our new Sponsor a Counsellor campaign to expand emotional support services for guests.

The generosity of fundraisers and charity supporters enables us to provide thousands of patients, carers & relatives with a home away from home and invaluable support, when they or a loved one are receiving medical care or treatment

Hospital hotel accommodation for healthcare professionals and trainees in close proximity to University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (Derriford Hospital), The Nuffield Hospital and the Hyperbaric Treatment Centre (DDRC)
Our plans to expand

Our big build project sees Hearts Together set to expand from 26 bedrooms to 73 over two build phases, an ambitious but very necessary challenge that we intend to meet head on, as we look to accommodate the ever-growing needs of patients, carers, relatives, our local community, healthcare professionals and trainees.
Our Shuttle Vehicle

This service has already shown to be absolutely invaluable, helping to reduce the stress and cost of transport, meaning that our guests can stay focused on supporting their loved ones or getting better themselves.

If you have been helped by our charity and would like to help others like you, why not make a donation or fundraise for our pay it forward campaign. We use the money raised through this appeal to provide financial support to individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford to stay at our Hospital Guest Accommodation.
