The Story behind our Anniversary Film

Every year, Hearts Together supports over 8,000 families navigating some of the most difficult periods of their lives. Our guests tell us in thank-you notes, in conversations over breakfast, in messages years later, about the difference we make. To mark our 25th anniversary, we wanted to find a way to share that with the world.

I had seriously underestimated how tiring it is not being the patient! So it was such a blessing that we could walk between the hotel and the hospital in no time, particularly when we had some late nights during the early stages of Mum's recovery.

The generosity of fundraisers and charity supporters enables us to provide thousands of patients, carers & relatives with a home away from home and invaluable support, when they or a loved one are receiving medical care or treatment

Hospital hotel accommodation for healthcare professionals and trainees in close proximity to University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust (Derriford Hospital), The Nuffield Hospital and the Hyperbaric Treatment Centre (DDRC)
Our plans to expand

Our big build project sees Hearts Together set to expand from 26 bedrooms to 73 over two build phases, an ambitious but very necessary challenge that we intend to meet head on, as we look to accommodate the ever-growing needs of patients, carers, relatives, our local community, healthcare professionals and trainees.
Our Shuttle Vehicle

This service has already shown to be absolutely invaluable, helping to reduce the stress and cost of transport, meaning that our guests can stay focused on supporting their loved ones or getting better themselves.

We use the money raised through this appeal to provide financial support to individuals who would otherwise be unable to afford to stay at our Hospital Guest Accommodation.
